These terms are the agreement between you and GPTgame. By using gptgame.app, creating a game, or subscribing, you accept them. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
GPTgame is operated from Finland. Throughout, "we" and "GPTgame" mean the service, and "you" means whoever is using it.
GPTgame takes a text prompt and turns it into a self-contained browser game built with Phaser, generated by an AI pipeline and checked by an automated validator before you play it. You can try it without an account. Signing in, through Clerk, unlocks your dashboard, your saved games, and subscriptions. The service is young and still changing, so features may move or go away as we improve it.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be at least 13 to use GPTgame, and if you are under the digital-consent age where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. Keep one account per person or organisation, and do not share your credentials.
GPTgame has a free tier and paid plans (Pro and Studio). The free tier creates public games that carry a small GPTgame watermark, within a usage limit. New accounts get a 14-day trial, capped at five games per week, so you can try the paid experience before paying anything. Current prices, game allowances, and what each plan unlocks are on the pricing page, and they can change; we will not raise the price of a plan you already hold without telling you first.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal, and your paid access runs until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you do not cancel before your trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription.
Payments are generally non-refundable except where the law says otherwise, and this does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. EU and Finnish consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because a subscription gives you immediate access to a digital service, by subscribing you ask us to begin right away and accept that the withdrawal right ends once we have started. The free trial exists precisely so you can decide before any money changes hands.
Use GPTgame to make and share games, not to cause harm. In particular, do not:
We can rate-limit you, refuse a generation, remove content, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put the service at risk.
You own the games you create with GPTgame, including the prompt you wrote and the generated result, as far as anyone can own AI-generated work (more on that just below). We do not claim ownership of your games.
So that we can actually run the service, you grant us a licence to store, host, copy, and display your games and prompts as needed to operate GPTgame. For public games, that licence also covers showing them on public pages, in galleries, in search results, and in social previews, and letting other people play and remix them. The remix box on a public game page is built for this, so expect that a public prompt and game can become someone else's starting point. Free-tier games are always public. Pro and Studio let you make games unlisted or private and remove the watermark.
Games come out of an AI model reading your prompt, so a few honest caveats apply. The output can be wrong, broken, or similar to something that already exists, and the law on who owns AI-generated work is still unsettled and differs from country to country. We do not promise that a game is original, error-free, or fit for any particular use. If you publish or sell a game, that is your decision and your responsibility, and you are the one who has to be sure you hold the rights to use it. Games are provided as is.
The GPTgame name, the site, its design, and the software behind the generation pipeline belong to us or our licensors, and nothing here transfers them to you. What we grant you is the right to use the service and your own generated games, and nothing more.
We work to keep GPTgame running, but we do not guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may add, change, or retire features, and we may set or adjust limits. This is GPTgame v2, a rebuild of the original, and games from the old version were not carried over.
You can stop using GPTgame whenever you like and delete your games or close your account from the dashboard. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if keeping your account open would harm other users or the service. When access ends, public games you created may be removed, and we handle any remaining data as described in the Privacy Policy. Terms that are meant to outlast the account, such as ownership, disclaimers, and liability, carry on afterward.
GPTgame is provided as is and as available, without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and it does not cut into the mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
We may update these terms as the service grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will give signed-in users reasonable notice. If you keep using GPTgame after a change takes effect, that counts as accepting the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If we cannot sort out a dispute directly, it goes to the Finnish courts, with the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus) as the default venue unless the law points elsewhere. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can still bring a claim there. EU consumers can also turn to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta) or the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
